Click Here to visit AKC's Website The Orthopedic Foundation For Animals (OFA) is an online registry for health screenings of select dog breeds. This is a great place to visit when researching dogs, and to learn more about health concerns specific to Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Rhodesian Ridgebacks are catagorized by the AKC as Sight Hounds, and therefore they can compete in AKC & ASFA Field Trials. These field trials are called Lure Coursing. The Ridgebacks, as well as the other recognized sight hounds, race on a course designed to challenge their natural ability to pursue prey. They are judged on many factors, and earn points toward a Field Championship.
